Histology Department
The Histology Department at PSIP is committed to outstanding technical
quality and rapid turnaround time in order to provide our pathologists with the
diagnostic materials needed to serve our patients effectively and efficiently.
With a combined 168 years in the Histology field, our seven Histotechnologists
utilize state-of-the-art technology and employ advanced methods to produce
diagnostically superior slides.
Our Histotechnologists are trained in Immunoperoxidase Staining techniques and
routinely perform special breast cancer studies that include Estrogen and
Progesterone Receptor Assay, and HER-2/neu and Ki-67 biomarkers.
In our Histology Laboratory, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of
safety. Our contribution to a sustainable environment is evident through
the recycling of various materials and chemicals.
