Puget Sound Institute of Pathology is a Seattle-based local, independent medical laboratory which includes a team of highly trained physicians dedicated to delivering superior anatomic and clinical laboratory services to the physicians and patients of the Puget Sound region.

All of our 12 pathologists are board-certified. Our subspecialty board certification and training includes Hematopathology, Dermatopathology, Genitourinary Pathology, Cytopathology, Breast Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology, Surgical Pathology, Clinical Pathology, Immunohistochemistry, and Molecular Diagnostics.

Founded over 50 years ago and highly integrated into the medical community, we serve 7 medical centers and a multitude of clinics throughout the Puget Sound Region. It is our mission to deliver accurate and comprehensive results, with one of the most rapid turn around times in the Pacific Northwest. Our enduring and local presence, combined with our devotion to quality and the highest level of care sets PSIP apart as a trusted leader in diagnostic pathology services for the region.

PSIP is inspected and accredited by the College of American Pathologists and by the State of Washington. We meet or exceed all standards outlined in the 1988 Federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA ’88).
